SeltaSquare, an AI-based pharmacovigilance specialist company, announced on the 9th that it has entered into a partnership under the Oracle Partner Network (OPN) with Oracle, a global database leader.

Through this partnership, SeltaSquare has been granted the rights to globally sell and implement Oracle Argus Safety Database (hereinafter Oracle Argus) — a globally recognized standard solution for processing, analyzing, and reporting adverse events related to pharmaceuticals, used to manage drug safety data.

The company explained that this partnership is a testament to SeltaSquare's recognized expertise in both pharmacovigilance and IT.

SeltaSquare noted that it will provide operational and technical support from the perspective of pharmacovigilance professionals — covering everything from initial Oracle Argus implementation through to day-to-day use — with the aim of broadening the range of Safety Database options available to the domestic pharmacovigilance industry.

In addition, SeltaSquare plans to leverage its proprietary data standardization solution, SELTA-WAVE, to normalize data from various sources into XML format, automating the otherwise complex data entry process typically associated with existing safety databases, thereby enhancing the overall usability of Oracle Argus.

Debiao Zhou, Oracle Life Sciences North Asia Business Head, remarked that SeltaSquare stands out among Oracle's APAC partners for its combined capabilities in pharmacovigilance and IT, adding that he expects the experienced team of specialists to effectively address real-world challenges faced by Argus users.

CEO Shin Min-kyung stated: "In Korea, pharmacovigilance professionals have a very limited range of database options to choose from. Through this partnership with Oracle, we aim to broaden those choices while also offering the solution at a dramatically competitive price point — driving meaningful change across the pharmacovigilance landscape."
